Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba

The Art Gallery of Southwestern Manitoba is a community engaged contemporary art gallery that celebrates artistic excellence and diversity within our region and beyond through contemporary art exhibitions, education, and events. The AGSM has been proudly serving Brandon and its surrounding region for over 100 years. Founded in 1907 as the Brandon Art Club, the AGSM is Manitoba’s oldest centre for visual art and one of Canada’s first.

The Glen P. Sutherland Gallery of Art

The Glen P. Sutherland Gallery of Art was founded in 2006 by Professor Emerita Colleen Cutschall, a celebrated Lakota Oglala-Sicunga artist, who also founded the Brandon University Department of Aboriginal and Visual Arts, now known as IshKaabatens Waasa Gaa Inaabeteg Department of Visual Art.

The gallery has a research-creation mandate that is realized through art exhibitions by both emerging student artists and professional artists, as well as performances, artist talks, workshops, publications, collaborations and socially engage programming.
