Fraud x 15

On September 18th, 2025, police received a complaint of multiple frauds that had been committed at a Credit Union in Brandon.  The unknown subject made several fraudulent deposits on different days using various alias.  A 50 year male has been identified from surveillance video.  A warrant has been issued for his arrest. 

Impaired Operation of motor vehicle, Drive Over, Fail to remain at scene of Accident

 On October 4th at approximately 12:17 hours a 911 call was received of a 2 vehicle MVA in the 300 block of McDiarmid Dr.  One of the drivers was trying to flee the scene.  Witnesses observed the driver as walking unsteady and appeared intoxicated.  The witnesses escorted the driver back to the scene and waited with her for police to arrive.  A 22 year old female from Brandon was released to appear in court on October 9th

Theft Under $5,000

 On October 4th at approximately 17:42 hours a member of patrol was travelling past Superstore when a male subject was observed running form the store with a basket of groceries.  The subject was stopped and it was confirmed that payment was not paid.  A 26-year-old man with no fixed address was released on an Undertaking to attend court. 

Breach of Peace

 On October 4th at 11:29 hours a report was received of a male subject at Dollarama acting aggressively towards customers.  Upon police arrival a highly intoxicated 28-year-old male was taken into custody to be released when sober.

Administer Noxious Substance

On October 4th at approximately 18:45 hours a report was received of several people playing volleyball in Stanely Park.  An unknown male subject walked up and sprayed with Bear Spray towards them.  Officers attended the area, and the suspect was pointed out running away.  The suspect was apprehended and a cannister of Bear spray was recovered at the scene.  A 26-year-old male from Brandon will appear in court at a later date. 

Possession of Weapon, Fail to Comply Probation 

 On October 4th at 23:03 hours a vehicle stop was conducted in the 500 block of McTavish Avenue.  During the stop a male passenger was found to be in possession of a machete that was wedged between the seat and center counsel.  The suspect was on a probation order not to be in possession of any weapons.  The 18-year-old passenger was taken into custody and lodged for court in the morning.
