Notice of By-Election - Brandon School Division

Notice is hereby given that a vote of the Brandon School Division will be taken to elect one (1) City Ward Trustee from the following duly nominated candidates:

VOTING PLACES

Electors may vote at the Voting Place which they find most convenient. Voting stations will be open for voting on THURSDAY, THE 16TH DAY OF OCTOBER between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the following locations:

Monterey Estates Recreation Hall - 40 Mockingbird Drive
McDiarmid Drive Alliance Church - 635 McDiarmid Drive
East End Community Centre - 405 Park Street
Victoria Inn Salon 2 - 3550 Victoria Avenue
Brandon School Division Admin Office - 1031 – 6th Street
Brandon Shoppers Mall - Unit #22, 1570 – 18th Street

IDENTIFICATION WILL BE REQUIRED BEFORE BEING ALLOWED TO VOTE. A person will be required to produce one piece of government issued photo identification (for example - driver’s license) or at least two other documents that provide proof of identity and residence.

ADVANCE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating people who are qualified to vote, but who have reason to believe that they will be absent or otherwise unable to attend a voting place on Election Day, advance voting opportunities will be held:

9:00 am – 6:00 pm Main Foyer of City Hall, 410 - 9th Street, Brandon

Saturday, October 11, 2025
8:00 am – 8:00 pm Pioneer Lounge, Keystone Centre, 1175 – 18th Street, Brandon

MOBILE VOTING

For the purpose of accommodating people who are qualified to vote, and reside at the following healthcare facilities and senior housing units, mobile voting stations will be set up at various hours on Election Day at:

APPLICATION TO VOTE BY SEALED ENVELOPE

A voter who is unable to go in person to the voting place or vote in advance, may apply to vote by sealed envelope either in person, in writing, or by email to the Senior Election Official at 410 – 9th Street, Brandon, MB R7A 6A2, brandonvotes@brandon.ca.

A voter applying in person may pick up a sealed envelope package at the time of application. A voter applying by mail or email will receive a sealed envelope ballot package by regular post, or by making alternative arrangements with the Senior Election Official.

Applications can be submitted starting September 18, 2025. Deadline for applications is October 10, 2025. Please contact the Senior Election Official to request an application or for more information.
