Road Closures & Detours for Water Valve Repairs on Rosser Avenue – Oct. 20–31

The City of Brandon wishes to inform residents and businesses of upcoming road closures on Rosser Avenue in the downtown area. These closures are necessary to address a known issue with several water valves, ensuring reliable water service for the community.

As part of this project, crews will be installing additional valves at Rosser Avenue on 9th Street and 10th Street. These valves will allow crews to complete repairs while maintaining water service for most customers.

Work is expected to start Mon, Oct. 20 and wrap up by Fri, Oct. 31.

Road Closure Details:

Starting Mon, Oct 20, Rosser Ave will be closed between 10th Street and 7th Street. Detour routes are available via 10th Street, Pacific Avenue, and 7th Street. Bus-only access will be maintained on Rosser Avenue west of 7th Street.

Starting Wed, Oct. 22, the closure will shift, with detours via 11th Street, Pacific Avenue, and 7th Street. Bus-only access continues west of 7th Street. Additionally, right turns from Rosser Avenue onto southbound 10th Street will be permitted.

Motorists are advised to follow posted detour signs and allow extra travel time.
