Potential Candidates Encouraged to Attend Brandon Votes Information Session

Brandon, MB – Residents interested in serving their community and shaping the future of Brandon are invited to attend an upcoming information session hosted by the Senior Election Official (SEO), Heather Ewasiuk, and a team of presenters on Tue, June 23, 2026, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the City Hall Foyer (410 – 9th St). 

This session is designed to help prospective candidates gain a better understanding of what it means to serve on City Council and how to begin the process of running for municipal office.

Attendees will learn about:

  • The role and responsibilities of City Council
  • How to run for municipal office
  • What a typical day looks like for a councillor


The City of Brandon encourages residents who are passionate about their community and interested in civic leadership to explore how they can contribute through public service. Serving on City Council is an opportunity to play a direct role in guiding decisions that impact the community, from infrastructure and services to long-term planning and growth.
