Police News Release - September 9th, 2025

Arrest Warrant

On September 9th at 11:50AM a BPS (Brandon Police Service) officer noticed a female in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue known to have a Warrant for her Arrest. She was stopped, arrested, and held in BPS detention cells for court.

 

Breach of the Peace / IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)

In the last 24 hours three individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace and one for IPDA. The individuals were arrested, held in BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.

 

Mischief Under $5000

On September 8th at approximately 5:23 PM, police received a report of a male spray painting a bicycle black on the Thompson Bridge. Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old male in possession of a bicycle that was still wet with paint. The bicycle was seized, and the individual was arrested and transported to BPS detention cells. He was later released via Undertaking with a scheduled court appearance set for November 3rd, 2025.

 

Breach of Release Order / Breach of Probation

On September 8th at approximately 4:45 PM, a 31-year-old male was arrested for breaching his No Contact Order by sending an email to a female he was legally prohibited from contacting. The individual was located at a residence in the 400 block of 9th Street and taken into custody. He was held in BPS detention cells and is scheduled to appear in court the following morning.

 

Theft Under $5000

On September 8th at 9:07PM police attended a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue due to a theft. A 32-year-old male was arrested for Theft Under $5000. He was later released via Undertaking with a court date of November 17th, 2025.

 

Theft Under $5000

On September 8th at 9:07PM police were called to a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue as items were currently being concealed in a bag in a shopping cart. Police attended and made a stop outside the store to find that $158.07 worth of unpaid merchandise had been taken. A 32-year-old female was arrested and later released via Undertaking with a court date of November 17th, 2025.
