Police News Release - September 7th, 2025

Assault
At 1:00 AM on September 6th, police received a report of a fight in the 700 block of 22nd Avenue. When members attended, they determined that two 14 y/o youths had been fighting. A suspect was identified as the aggressor and was located later. A 14y/o female was arrested for assault and released for court to her parents.
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
At 5:58 PM, Police received a traffic complaint in the 900 block of 7th Street. Witnesses observed a black Ford truck speeding down the laneway. The truck stopped and the driver ran away. Investigation showed the truck had been reported stolen the night before. A 20 y/o female was located in the area still in possession of keys for the truck. She was arrested and released for court.
Impaired Driving
At 1:03 AM, police conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Regent Crescent. A 23 y/o man was found to operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol. As a result, he was issued an immediate roadside suspension, and his vehicle was seized for 30 days. He was released at the scene.
At 2:24 AM, police stopped an erratic driver in the 400 block of 26th Street. A 25 y/o woman was found to operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol. She was arrested and transported to Brandon Police Headquarters where she provided breath samples over the legal limit. She was lodged to be released when sober for court. The vehicle she was operating was seized and her driver's license suspended.
Intoxicated and Warrants
During the past 24 hours, 4 people were arrested and held due to varying levels of intoxication. All were lodged and later released when sober. 2 people were arrested on the strength of various arrest warrants and compelled to court accordingly.
