Police News Release - September 30th, 2025

RCMP Warrant Executed
On September 29th the RCMP requested assistance in executing a Warrant on a male that is currently held at the Brandon Correctional Centre (BCC). Brandon Police Service (BPS) officers attended BCC and executed the Warrant (Breach of Conditional Sentence Order x3).
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
On September 29th at 9:56 a.m. numerous tools were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of 26th Street. The tools were being sold online and the 32-year-old male in possession of them was located and arrested. He was held in BPS detention cells to attend court in the morning on September 30th, 2025.
Breach of the Peace / IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
In the past 24 hours three individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace and three were arrested for IPDA. All six were held in BPS detention cells to be released once sober.
Assault Peace Officer / Resist Arrest / Failure to Comply Undertaking
On September 29th, 2025, at approximately 7:20 p.m., police were called to a business in the 200 block of 18th Street North regarding an unwanted, highly intoxicated male who had been inside the store at that point for several hours and had fallen asleep on their couch. Upon police arrival, the 32-year-old male became aggressive, striking an officer and proceeded to resist arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to BPS detention cells. The male was held overnight to appear in court on September 30th, 2025.
