Police News Release - November 30, 2025

IMPAIRED DRIVER

On November 30, 2025, shortly after midnight, police came across a motor vehicle collision at 18th street and Victoria Ave.  There were no injuries, but the driver of one of the vehicles displayed signs of impairment and was arrested.  The 30-year-old male refused to provide samples of his breath.  He will appear in court on December 8, 2025, on charges of Operation While Impaired, and Refuse to Provide Sample with Demand.

 

DRUG CHARGES

On November 30, 2025, shortly after 3:00 am, police stopped a pedestrian who was confirmed to be on a court ordered curfew.  Following his arrest, he was found to be in possession of meth and fentanyl.  He also initially provided police with a false name.  He will appear in court on charges of Breach of Release Order, Public Mischief and CDSA Possession.

 

RESIST ARREST

On November 30, 2025, at approximately 2:30 am, police conducted a vehicle stop at 34th street and Centennial Blvd.  The driver and passenger both ran from the vehicle but were pursued on foot and arrested.  The driver, a 44-year-old male resisted arrest.  He will appear in court on February 2, 2026, on charges of Resist Arrest, Obstruct Peace Officer and he received 3 tickets for provincial highway traffic act offences.

 

ARREST WARRANTS / BREACH OF RELEASE CONDITONS

Three individuals were arrested during separate incidents in the last 24 hours on outstanding arrest warrants or for breaching release conditions.

 

INTOXICATION RELATED ARRESTS

Five individuals were arrested and lodged until sober during separate incidents in the last 24 hours due to their behavior while intoxicated.
