Police News Release - November 2nd, 2025

Assault with a weapon

At 8:47PM on Saturday night, police were requested to a taxi in the 200 block of 2nd Street.  While sitting in the back seat, the passenger was subjected to an attack with bear spray.  The suspect was known to the victim and was last seen running from the area and entering a nearby house.  The homeowner consented to police entering their home, and the suspect was located and arrested without incident. A 20y/o male was charged and later released with a court date.

Mischief under $5000.00/ possess property obtained by crime

Shortly after midnight, police were called to the 2000 block of Brandon Avenue. Allegedly a person was hitting parked cars with a stick. An intoxicated 42y/o male was located and arrested. A search incidental to his arrest found property that had been removed from one of the damaged cars.  He was lodged to be released when sober with a court date.

Intoxicated people and warrants of arrest

During the past 24 hours, 5 people were arrested and held due to varying levels of intoxication.  All were later released when sober. 2 people were arrested on the strength of various arrest warrants and compelled to court accordingly.
