Lodge for IPDA and Breach of Peace
A 30-year-old female was lodged under the intoxicated persons detention act after being brought to BPS in a taxi. The female was highly intoxicated and was lodged for her safety.
Two youths were taken into custody from separate incidents in which they were both found to be highly intoxicated. Both youths will be held until sober and released to their guardians at that time.
In Custody for Court
A 33-year-old female arrested for possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply with her probation after an incident in the 1000 block of 26th Street. The female had reportedly damaged a vehicle in the area. Police located a steak knife on her, and she was on a probation order not to possess weapons. There was no damage located on the vehicle.
A 24-year-old male attended the police service as he believed he had a warrant. The warrant was confirmed and processed. The male remains in custody for a pending court appearance.
A 20-year-old male was arrested under strength of 5 unendorsed warrants after he was recognized at a business in the 1500 block of 18th Street. The male initially left prior to police arrival but after review of video surveillance, the male was located at a nearby business and was arrested without incident. The male will remain in custody until he appears in court later today.
A 26-year-old female remains in custody after turning herself in. The female had an unendorsed warrant of arrest for failing to comply by the conditions of her release. She will remain in custody for a court appearance later today.
A 27-year-old male was arrested for assault and sexual assault. Officers attended a residence to investigate an ongoing assault and on arrival could hear the assault in progress. The officers forced open the door and witnessed the suspect on top of the victim punching him in the face. The suspect was arrested after a brief struggle and taken into custody. Investigation revealed the suspect initiated unwanted sexual advances on the victim and when the victim refused the suspect began punching him in the face and head. The suspect remains in custody to appear in court later today.
Arrested and Released
A 41-year-old male attended the police service after he had learned there was a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed as the male had previously failed to attend court. The warrant was processed, and the male was released for a court date in the future.
A 20-year-old female was arrested under strength of an endorse warrant for failing to comply with the conditions of her probation. She was issued an appearance notice for a court date in the future.
