Assault & Weapon possession 

On Saturday November 15th around 9am, Police responded to an assault on an employee at a restaurant in the 1500 block of 1st street.    The assault was over a muffin, and once the suspect was taken into custody he was found to be in possession of a knife.  The 19 year old male was arrested for the assault and the weapons offence and was later released for court.

A second male youth involved in the same incident was also found to be in possession of a knife, contrary to an undertaking condition.  The 17-year-old was also released for court.

 

Break & Enter

On Saturday November 15th around 1115am, police attended to a vacant residence in the 500 block of Rosser Ave E, where a  35 year old female was located inside.  She was found in possession of Break-In instruments and was arrested. She was processed and later released for court.

Arrest Warrants

Around 1:45pm, Police checked on a female in the 800 block of Pacific Ave who was consuming alcohol in public and appeared intoxicated.  After confirming her identity, officers discovered an outstanding warrant for her arrest for failing to comply with a court order. She was arrested on the warrant and held in BPS cells to be released with a new court date once sober. 

Around 3:50pm, Police located a male in the 700 block of Rosser who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend for fingerprints.  He was arrested, processed and released with a new court date in December. 

 

 Warrant and Weapons

Around 1:45am on Sunday, Police were checking on patrons at a licensed establishment in the 900 block of Pacific Ave, when they came across a male known to have an outstanding warrant for breaching his probation order.  While searching the male incidental to his arrest, police located an imitation revolver in his waistband and a knife in his pocket.  He was lodged for court later on Sunday morning.

 

Assault with weapon 

Around 2:00am Sunday, police received a report a female screaming for help in the hall of an Apt complex in the 700 block of Rosser Ave. Officers attended and located a male with puncture wounds to his leg, arm, chest, and stomach. The victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital.   The screaming female was located at the scene, and she was confirmed to be the suspect.  The 54-year-old female was arrested for assault with a weapon, and the blood covered knife was located in her purse.  She was Lodged for court on Sunday morning.

 

Breach of Peace

In the last 24 hours 5 people were arrested and lodged at BPS for Breach of Peace. They were released once sober and cooperative.
