Breach of the Peace / Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
In the past 24 hours, one individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace, while two additional individuals who were highly intoxicated were taken into custody under the Protective Detention & Care of Intoxicated Persons Act (PDCIPA). All are expected to be released once calm and sober.
Theft of Mail / Possession of Break-In Instruments / Break, Enter & Commit Mischief
On April 21st, police received a report of a break-in at a secure apartment building in the 300 block of 4th Street. After gaining entry, this suspect was captured on video breaking into multiple mailboxes and stealing mail. Through video surveillance, police identified the 44-year-old female. On May 26th officers attended a residence on Buttercup Bay and arrested her. She was subsequently released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on July 30th, 2026.
Arrest Warrant for Assault with a Weapon – New Charges of Theft of Mail / Possession of Break In Instruments/ Break, Enter & Commit Mischief
On May 26th police attended Buttercup Bay and arrested a 36-year-old female on the strength of her Warrant for Arrest (Assault with a Weapon). The female was also involved in the above mail theft and charged accordingly. She was held in custody at BPS for court in the morning on May 27th, 2026.
Mischief Under $5000
On May 25th, a mischief incident was reported at a motel in the 1800 block of 1st Street North after a window was smashed by a male suspect who then fled the area.
On May 26th at 10:50 p.m., police located and arrested the 14-year-old male who was walking in the 1000 block of 18th Street in connection with the incident. He was later released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on August 11th, 2026.
Mischief to Property / Theft Under $5000
On May 26th at 8:42 p.m. a report was received from a vehicle owner that his vehicle window had been smashed at a hotel in the 1900 block of Queens Avenue. Video surveillance was available, and the approximate time window of the incident was known.
A short time later a second call was received from a shopper stating that a young male was swinging a belt around at people and yelling in the parking lot of a business in the 1600 block of 18th Street. The suspect then left the area. A third call was received of a male fitting the same description from a store on Richmond reporting a theft of $60 in merchandise. The suspect had left prior to police arrival however was located a short time later. The male youth was intoxicated. He was arrested and held in custody to prevent the continuation of behaviour. He will be released in the morning with a future court date of August 4th, 2026.
Failure to Comply Court Order / Utter Threats
On May 26th at approximately 8:37 a.m., police were called to a business in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue after a 30-year-old male attended the location despite being subject to a protection order. He was threatening an individual there.
Police attended and arrested the male. He was held in custody at BPS detention cells to appear in court later that same day, May 26th, 2026.
Arrest Warrant
On May 26th a 36-year-old male was arrested on the strength of his Warrant for Arrest. (Failure to Comply Probation). The male had turned himself in at BPS. He was released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of June 29th, 2026.

On May 26th at 5:06 p.m. a 17-year-old female was located and arrested in the 200 block of 11th Street on an Outstanding Warrant for Arrest (Breach of Probation Youth Criminal Justice Act x8). She was held in custody at BPS for court in the morning on May 27th, 2026.
