Police News Release - March 9th, 2026

Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours three individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest.
On March 8th at 10:00 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted in the 300 block of Lorne Avenue, and a 56-year-old male was arrested on the strength of an outstanding Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Attend Prints). Ident was completed and the male was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of April 9th, 2026.
On March 9th at 1:21 a.m. police conducted a person check in the 500 block of Lorne Avenue. A 34-year-old male was arrested who was wanted on an outstanding Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Attend Court). The male was found to be in possession of a knife, contrary to his Probation Order and now faces additional charges - Possess Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Carry Concealed Weapon, and Failure to Comply Probation.
The male was arrested and held in BPS detention cells to attend court in the morning on March 9th, 2026.
On March 9th at 4:09 a.m. police conducted a person check in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue which resulted in the arrest of a 44-year-old male who had an outstanding Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Comply Probation). The male was released via Appearance Notice with a court date of April 9th, 2026.
