Police News Release - March 26th, 2026

Arrest Warrants

In the past 24 hours six individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. Two individuals were held in custody for court in the morning, three were released via Appearance Notice and one released via Undertaking.

 

Protective Detention + Care of Intoxicated Persons Act

On March 25th, police attended a business located in the 900 block of Middleton Avenue following a report of a female causing a disturbance at the front desk and speaking incoherently. Upon arrival, officers located the 31-year-old female, who was found to be under the influence of drugs. She was taken into custody and transported to Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells, where she was held until she was sober and able to be safely released.

 

Protective Detention + Care of Intoxicated Persons Act

On March 26th, police attended a residence in the 1300 block of Princess Avenue due to a disturbance outside the building at approximately 4:30 a.m. A 44-year-old male was located intoxicated and was arrested due to not having anyone to turn him over to. He was held in BPS detention cells to be safely released once sober.

 

Failure to Comply Undertaking

On March 25th at 2:16 p.m. police were called to the lobby of a building located in the 000 block of Victoria Avenue East. A 41-year-old male, who was bound by conditions not to attend the premises, was inside the lobby. He was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice with a future court date scheduled for May 25th, 2026.
