Police News Release - June 29th, 2025

Assault with a Weapon
On 2025-06-28 at 0858 hrs, police responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 300 block of 2nd Street. Investigation revealed that a 30-year-old female assaulted her 33-year-old male partner with a knife. Injuries were non-life threatening to the victim and the accused was lodged for court.
Breach of Peace
On 2025-06-28 at 1447 hrs, police were patrolling the 1500 block of Princess Avenue and noted a 59-year-old male to be causing a disturbance and intoxicated by drug consumption. The male was lodged at BPS until sober.
Breach of Peace
On 2025-06-28 at 2012 hrs, police responded to a disturbance at a residence on Cornell Bay. An intoxicated 32-year-old female was lodged until sober.
Assault with a Weapon
On 2025-06-29 at 0415 hrs, police responded to a report of an assault at a hotel room in the 1100 block of Braecrest Drive. Investigation revealed that an 18-year-old female had a disagreement with a 22-year-old male which is known to her. The male then proceeded to threaten the female while holding a machete against her throat, followed by the female collecting her belongings and leaving the hotel room without further incident. The accused was still at the location at the time of police attending and has been released with conditions to appear in court 2025-09-04.
