Police News Release - June 26th, 2026

Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours six individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. Two individuals were released via Appearance Notices with future court dates, one was released via Undertaking with a future court date, two were held for court in the morning, and one had a DNA Warrant which was completed, and the individual was released.
Breach of the Peace
On June 25th, just after 8:00 p.m., police were called to an apartment by the tenant regarding an intoxicated 18-year-old woman who was causing a disturbance, throwing things around, and refusing to leave after being asked to do so. Officers attended the scene and arrested the woman. She was transported to BPS detention cells and will be released once she is sober.
Domestic Assault
On June 26th, at approximately 3:15 a.m., police attended a house off Birchview Place after receiving a report of an assault. Investigation revealed that a 43-year-old male had thrown a 40-year-old female to the ground, causing bruising and scrapes. The male was arrested and transported to BPS detention cells. He will be released on an Undertaking once sober with a future court date of September 10th, 2026.
Forging a Document
On June 16th, a 43-year-old woman reported to police that she was the registered co-owner of a Dodge Ram truck that had been sold without her authorization. She stated that her ex-partner, a 48-year-old man, had forged her signature on the bill of sale to complete the transaction.
Post statement and investigation, on June 25th at approximately 9:35 a.m., police attended a residence on Ptarmigan Way and arrested the 48-year-old man. He was transported to BPS for processing and was later released on an Appearance Notice. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 3rd, 2026.
