Police News Release - June 26th, 2025

Breach of the Peace

On June 25th at 8:28PM staff from a business in the 2200 block of Victoria Avenue reported someone making holes in the walls. Staff was unable to prevent the male’s behaviour and due to escalation called for assistance. The 17-year-old male was arrested and brought to BPS detention cells to calm down.

 

Arrest Warrants

In the last 24hours six Arrest Warrants were executed.

 

Breach of Release Order

On June 25th while police were on an unrelated call, a persons check was conducted on a 17-year-old male. The male provided a false name. Upon confirming his identity, it was found the male had a Release Order curfew condition of which he was breaching. He was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of July 8th, 2025.

 

Break & Enter

There was a Break & Enter that occurred in the 1100 block of Highland Avenue between 5:00PM on June 24th and 8:30AM on June 25th, 2025. To gain access a side door had been kicked in. A TV was reported stolen, and things were ransacked. The situation remains under investigation.
