Police News Release - June 10, 2025

Arrest Warrant
On June 9th at 8:49AM a 35-year-old male turned himself in at BPS on Unendorsed Warrants of Arrest (Assault, Failure to Comply Undertaking, and Failure to Attend Court). The male was arrested and held in detention cells to appear in court in the morning.

On June 9th a BPS member attended to the residence of a 37-year-old woman who was the subject of an Unendorsed Warrant of Arrest (Failure to Attend Court). The woman was home and arrested. She was held in BPS detention cells to attend court in the morning.
Mischief Under $5000
On June 9th a 26-year-old male, who had been kept overnight at BPS to attend court in the morning, was being led to a BPS vehicle to take him to Bandon Correctional Centre (BCC) – when he kicked the rear door on the driver’s side leaving a big dent. The male was held at BCC to appear in Court in the morning on the new charge.
Failure to Attend Court
On June 9th at 1:46PM BPS member attended the Courthouse as a female was present who had an Unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. The 45-year-old woman was arrested, held in detention cells at BPS, and will attend court in the morning on June 10th, 2025.
Breach of the Peace
On June 9th at 4:13PM a call was received notifying Police of a female who had been huffing in the back of a Taxi. The highly intoxicated 55-year-old woman was located by Police in the 200 block of 8th Street. She was found being highly combative with building staff that were trying to help her. Due to her condition and aggression to staff, she was arrested, held in detention cells and will be released once sober.
Unlawfully in a Dwelling
On June 9th at 5:35PM a property owner reported that people had broken into a vacant home in the 1200 block of 6th Street. BPS members attended and located two individuals unlawfully in the home – a 34-year-old female and a 43-year-old male. The two were arrested and later released on Undertaking with a court date of August 25th, 2025. The male was charged with Unlawfully in a Dwelling. The female was charged with Unlawfully in a Dwelling, Breach of Court Order and Possession of a Weapon.
Theft Under $5000 / Failure to Comply Probation
On June 8th a theft was reported from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue. The shoplifter stole approximately $50 in merchandise. Security footage was reviewed, and police were able to identify the 45-year-old male. Police located the male June 9th at 10:00PM in the 400 block of 10th Street. He was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of August 18th, 2025.
Failure to Comply Release Order
On June 10th at 1:14AM Police conducted a persons check in the 200 block of 10th Street. The 26-year-old female has a daily Release Order curfew of which she was breaching. She was charged with Failure to Comply Release Order and released via Appearance Notice with a court date of August 18th, 2025.

On the evening of June 9th Police became aware of a breach of curfew on two females, ages 16 and 14. Police located and arrested both females in the 000 block of 10th Street at 12:50AM. They were held in BPS detention cells and will attend court in the morning on June 10th, 2025.
IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
On June 10th at 1:18AM Police were called to a hotel in the 3500 block of Victoria Avenue due to an intoxicated male causing a disturbance. The 33-year-old male was medically cleared and held in BPS detention cells to prevent further issues. He will be released once sober.
