Police News Release - July 6th, 2025

 Intoxicated/Warrants

During the past 24 hours, several people were arrested and held due to varying levels of intoxication.

At 8:00AM on July 5th, police were called to a north end disturbance.  A 30y/o woman was arrested and released when she was sober.

At 11:30AM on July 5th, police stopped a 33 y/o man in the west end of Brandon.  He was known to police and known to be the subject of an arrest warrant.  He was arrested and released later for court.

At 12:30PM on July 5th, a 35y/o man was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave a south end property.  He was intoxicated and arrested, to be released when sober.

At 7:00PM on July 5th, a 64 y/o woman was arrested when her friend contacted police as she was highly intoxicated, causing issues and refused to leave the house. She was released when she was sober.

During the past 24 hours, several others were located at unrelated calls and found to be wanted on a variety of charges.  A 35 y/o man was arrested for failing to attend court, and a 29 y/o man for breaching a no contact order.  A 15 y/o boy was arrested for resisting arrest, trespassing and breaching his probation while a 36y/o woman was arrested for breaching her release order. All were released for court at a later date.

Assault Causing Bodily Harm

At 5:00AM on July 6th, police attended a west end hotel for disturbance.  On arrival, a 20 y/o woman was arrested after she struck her partner in the face causing injury.  She was highly intoxicated, arrested and lodged for release when sober with a court date and conditions not to contact the victim.
