Police News Release - July 5th, 2025

Intoxicated
During the past 24 hours, several people were arrested and held due to varying levels of intoxication.
At 9:44AM on July 4th, police were called to a north end disturbance. A 34y/o man was arrested and released when he was sober.
At 1:46PM on July 4th, police were called to a business on 10th Street for a fight, a 30 y/o woman was arrested and held until sober. There were no charges related to the fight.
During the nights, two others were located at unrelated calls causing disturbances, a 27 y/o woman and a 35 y/o man were arrested, both were held until sober.
Impaired Driver
At 12:42AM, police stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of 8th Street on suspicion of impaired driving. An 18 y/o man provided a breath sample in an approved screening device resulting in a fail. Police seized his vehicle, and he was released at the scene with an immediate roadside prohibition. At 1:59AM, police stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of a south end restaurant. The operator was identified as the same 18 y/o man that was stopped for impaired driving and released 20 minutes prior. This time, he was arrested and transported to BPS where he provided two breath samples over the legal limit. His second vehicle was seized, and he was charged with impaired operation, drive over 80mg% and drive while suspended. He was held in custody and released in the morning with a court date.
