Police News Release - July 28th, 2025

Breach of the Peace / IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)

In the past 24 hours four individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace and one for IPDA. They were held in BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.

Utter Threats / Theft Under $5000

On July 27^th at 6:28PM Police were called to a residence in the 500 block of Rosser Avenue East as two contractors were there arguing. One of the males left prior to Police arrival, while the one remaining claimed the other stole his cell phone and threatened him. The 64-year-old male was located and arrested. He was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of October 2^nd, 2025.

Assault with a Weapon / Possession of a Weapon

On July 27th at 1:29PM an employee from a business in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue called to report a 34-year-old male was at their location and produced a knife when asked to leave. He left prior to Police arrival. He was located in the area and arrested without incident. He was held in BPS detention cells to be released on an Undertaking once sober. A court date of October 2^nd, 2025 has been set.
