Police News Release - July 26, 2025

Forcible Confinement

On July 26, 2025, at approximately 1:30 am, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence.  Investigation revealed that a 19-year-old male had assaulted his girlfriend in the residence by choking her and beating her.  He also refused to allow her to leave the residence for three days.  He was also bound by conditions not to communicate with her, and to abide by a curfew at a different address.  He was lodged and remained in custody.

 

Assault Peace Officer

On July 25, 2025, at approximately 1:30 am, police responded to a request to remove a female from a residence as she was trying to fight the homeowner, and the homeowner’s grandson.  The 29-year-old female was intoxicated and would not cooperate with police.  She became combative and assaulted one of the officers by kicking them while trying to resist arrest.  She was lodged and later released once sober to appear in court on October 2, 2025, on a charge of Resist Arrest and Assault Peace Officer.  

 

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On July 25, 2025, at approximately 8:00 pm, police received a complaint of a possible domestic violence situation at a residence.  A 53-year-old male was located in the home, contrary to release conditions not to attend there.  He was also wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.  He was lodged and remained in custody.

 

Alcohol related arrests

Over the course of the day on July 25, 2025, 6 individuals were lodged until sober following separate complaints of their behavior due to intoxication by alcohol.

 

Arrest Warrants

On July 25, 2025, two individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants and released for court.
