Highway Traffic Act – Tamper with Motor Vehicle
On January 8 at approximately 7:43 p.m., Brandon Police Service (BPS) received a report of two youths breaking into a vehicle in the 1200 block of 22nd Street. Video footage captured the incident. Members attended the area, and the youths fled on foot. A 12-year-old male was apprehended quickly. The second youth, a 15-year-old male, was located a short time later with the effective assistance of the Brandon Police Service K9 Unit in a yard in the 1100 block of 22nd Street. No damage was done to the vehicle, and nothing was stolen. Both youths were arrested and transported to Brandon Police Service, where they were issued tickets. They were later released into the care of their respective care providers.
Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours, four individuals were arrested in separate incidents for Breach of the Peace. They will be released once sober/calm.
Breach of Probation
On January 9th at 5:04 a.m. police noticed a male at a business in the 2800 block of Victoria Avenue who was on conditions not to attend the business. The male was arrested and released via Appearance Notice with a court date of March 16th, 2026.
Theft Under $5000 / Failure to Comply Probation
On January 8th at approximately 12:46 p.m., Brandon Police Service responded to a call from a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue regarding a male who was on a probation order not to attend the store. A 31-year-old male attempted to steal approximately $170 worth of meat and clothing. He was arrested at the scene. The male was later released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on April 2nd, 2026.
Arrest Warrant
In the past 24 hours one individual was arrested on the strength of their Warrant for Arrest. The 33-year-old female was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of February 5th, 2026.
