Access Child Pornography/Possess Child Pornography
In August 2025, the Brandon Police Service Major Crimes Section received a CYPERTIP regarding suspected access to child pornography from an IP address located within the city. We recognize that news of this nature is deeply troubling for our community, and we want to assure the public that cases involving the exploitation of children are approached with the highest level of care and diligence.
Following a thorough investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence in the 3800 block of Centennial Boulevard, where an initial review of the devices confirmed the content referenced in the CYBERTIP. All electronic devices were seized, and a 44-year-old male was arrested without incident.
The suspect was transported to the Brandon Police Service. He was later released on an Undertaking with numerous conditions of which he is required to follow. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on April 9th, 2026.
This matter remains under investigation. With this set to be before the courts, no further details will be released at this time.
