Police News Release - January 17th, 2026

Arrest Warrants

 On January 16, 2026, shortly before 11:00 pm, police responded to a report of people fighting at a business in the 000 block of 10th street.  The two females (36-year-old and 49-year-old) involved were both found to be wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.  A 30-year-old male who was also fighting was lodged until sober and will receive a fine for Disorderly in a Licensed Premise.

 

Forgery

On January 7, 2026, police received a report of a client who had attempted to forge a medical prescription at a business in the 2400 block of Victoria Ave.  Following an investigation into the 22-year-old female, she was arrested for Forgery and Use a Forged Document on January 16, 2026.  She was released to appear in court on March 30, 2026.

 

Breach of Recognizance

On January 13, 2026, police received a complaint of a 15-year-old female who was breaching her no contact order by attending the school of another teen.  On January 16, 2026, the suspect was arrested and released to appear in court on February 10, 2026, on a charge of Breach of Recognizance.

 

IPDA

On January 17, 2026, at approximately 3:00 am, police responded to a report of a 49-year-old intoxicated female knocking on residential doors.  The female had nowhere to go and was from a rural community. She was lodged until sober.

 

Fail to Comply with Undertaking

On January 17, 2026, shortly before 4:00 am, police responded to a report of a female trying to fight with others in a residence.  Police learned that the 21-year-old female was to abide by a curfew to be at a rural residence, and not to have any communication with the homeowner.  She was lodged to appear in court on a charge of Breach of Undertaking and Breach of Court Order.
