Police News Release - January 10, 2026
Impaired Driver
On January 10, 2026, at approximately 1:00 am, police conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of 18th street. The 32-year-old male was arrested when he displayed signs of intoxication. He provided samples of his breath over the legal limit. He will appear in court on March 23, 2026, on charges of Drive While Prohibited, Operation Exceeding 80mgs% and Operation While Impaired.
Robbery
On January 9, 2026, at approximately 3:30 pm, police responded to a report of a female who was assaulted. The suspect struck the victim in the head and stole her sunglasses near the 800 block of Rosser Ave. The victim was not seriously injured, and the suspect was located and arrested nearby. The 39-year-old female was lodged and later released to appear in court on March 16, 2026, on a charge of Robbery.
Theft Under $5000
On December 8, 2025, police responded to a report of a gas drive away from a business in the 600 block of 6th street. Security footage assisted in identifying the suspect who was located and arrested during a traffic stop on January 10, 2026. The 41-year-old male was released to appear in court on March 16, 2026, on a charge of Theft Under $5000.
Arrest Warrants
Over the last 24 hours three individuals were arrested separately on outstanding arrest warrants.
Breach of Peace
Over the past 24 hours two male youths were arrested for fighting in a residence. They were given an opportunity to correct their behavior, but they continued to fight into the evening. They were lodged to prevent their behavior from further escalating.
