Police News Release - February 5th, 2026

Breach of the Peace / IPDA
In the past 24 hours three individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace and one for IPDA. They were held in BPS detention cells to be released once sober.
Arrest Warrant
On February 4th at 6:32 p.m., a 33-year-old female was arrested during a traffic stop in the 2200 block of Queens Avenue after confirming an outstanding Warrant for Arrest. She was taken into custody and held at the Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells and will attend court in the morning on February 5th, 2026.
Failure to Comply Undertaking
On February 4th at 11:23 p.m., while responding to an unrelated incident, a 23-year-old male was arrested in the 400 block of 7th Street and charged with breaching a non-consume condition of his undertaking. The intoxicated male was held in BPS detention cells and will be released once sober on an Appearance Notice, with a court date of April 16th, 2026.
Uttering Threats / Assault with a Weapon
On February 4th police were informed of an incident which occurred on January 24th where a 27-year-old male uttered threats and threatened with a knife the family members of his partner. Police attended the male’s residence in the 600 block of 22nd Street and he was arrested. The male was held in BPS detention cells for court in the morning on February 5th, 2026.
Arrest Warrant
On February 4th at 10:25 a.m. a 44-year-old female turned herself in at BPS knowing police were looking for her in relation to a Warrant for her Arrest. The female was released via Undertaking with a court date of April 16th, 2026.
