Police News Release - February 3rd, 2026

Theft Under $5000 / Arrest Warrant
On February 2nd at approximately 6:54 p.m., police were called to a business in the 800 block of 18th Street North regarding a theft. Officers soon located the 32-year-old male suspect on Kirkaldy Drive. He was arrested after police found $112 worth of stolen merchandise in his possession and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant as well. The male was lodged in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells and held to appear in court on the morning of February 3, 2026.
Breach of the Peace
In the past 24 hours one individual was arrested for Breach of the Peace. Due to intoxication levels the 46-year-old female was held for her safety in BPS detention cells until sober.
Arrest Warrant
On February 2nd police located a 29-year-old male at a hotel in the 200 block of 18th Street North who was wanted on an endorsed BPS Warrant for Arrest. The male was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of March 2nd, 2026.
