Possession of Cocaine
On February 22nd at approximately 5:25 p.m. police conducted a stop in the 600 block of 26th Street and a 45-year-old male was found to be in possession of a small amount of cocaine. The male was arrested and charged accordingly. He was later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of May 4th, 2026.
Winnipeg Police Service Warrant Executed
On February 22nd at 10:01 p.m. Brandon Police Service (BPS) members stopped a taxi vehicle in the 2700 block of Park Avenue. A 27-year-old male passenger was confirmed to have an Endorsed Warrant of Arrest with WPS. The male was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of May 5th, 2026, in Winnipeg.
Breach of the Peace
On February 23rd at approximately 5:30 a.m., members of BPS responded to a residence in the 000 block of 15th Street North following a report of a disturbance involving a 21-year-old female who was highly intoxicated. Officers attended and made efforts to release the female into the care of a responsible party; however, these attempts were unsuccessful. As a result, she was lodged in BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.
Arrest Warrant
On February 22nd at 11:38 a.m. a traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of Ashgrove Blvd. A 39-year-old male within the vehicle was confirmed to have an Unendorsed Warrant for Arrest (Breach of Probation). He was arrested on the strength of his warrant, brought to BPS detention cells and will attend court in the morning on February 23rd, 2026.
Traffic Stop Leads to Numerous Drug Charges
On February 22nd at approximately 11:30 a.m., a traffic stop was conducted in the 1100 block of 26th Street. The three occupants of the vehicle were detained for an investigation.
A Police Service Dog (K9) unit attended the scene and was deployed to conduct an exterior search of the vehicle. The K9 provided a positive indication for the presence of drugs. As a result of the search, officers located 4.6 grams of cocaine inside a bag in the back seat. A suitcase in the trunk was found to contain $6,070 in cash. Officers also seized packaging materials (baggies) and a scale consistent with drug trafficking.
A 32-year-old male, a 29-year-old male, and a 40-year-old female were each charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
In addition, the 32-year-old male was found to be in possession of $2,370 in cash and a cellular phone. The 29-year-old male had $370 in cash on his person.
All three individuals were later released on an Undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court on May 14th, 2026, in Brandon, MB.
