Police News Release - February 22nd, 2026

Operation While Impaired

At 8:42 p.m., police responded to a two‑vehicle collision at Highway 1 and 1st Street North involving a car and a truck. The driver of the car, a 30‑year‑old man from Rivers, MB, displayed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested. He later provided breath samples registering twice the legal limit. His vehicle was seized, and he was charged with operating a conveyance while impaired. He was released with a court date. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.

Intoxicated Persons / Warrants

Within the past 24 hours, police arrested two individuals for intoxication. Both were held until sober and released. Police also arrested one individual on an outstanding warrant, who was released with a future court date.
