Police News Release - February 1st, 2026

Highlights for the last 24 hours:

 

 

Warrant for Theft Under $5,000

 

At 2:00 pm, a vehicle stop was initiated in the 1700 block of Middleton Ave. A 56-year-old male who was an occupant of the vehicle and was arrested on an endorsed warrant for theft under $5,000. He was released on an appearance notice to appear in court at a later date.

 

 

Public Intoxication and Disturbances

 

At 9:21 am, a 34-year-old male was located passed out in a snowbank in the area of Garwood Dr. He was lodged until sober.

 

At 2:46 pm, a 40-year-old male was spotted banging on vehicle windows in the 100 block of McTavish Ave. He was arrested and lodged until sober.

 

At 3:33 pm, a call was received of a disturbance at a residence on Westaway Bay. Upon Police arrival they located an intoxicated 42-year-old woman who was arrested and lodged until sober.

 

At 4:11 pm, a call was received from a business in the 1100 block of 18th St, stating there was a heavily intoxicated male who would not leave the business. The 26-year-old male was arrested and lodged until sober.

 

At 1:25 am, a call was received stating a female in the residence on Cornell Bay was intoxicated and causing a disturbance. The 21-year-old female was arrested and lodged until sober.
