Police News Release - February 13th, 2026

Break & Enter

On February 12th at 7:20 p.m. a report was made of an unknown person observed on security footage in a business in the 000 block of 10th Street when nobody should be in the business. The video camera was stolen. A perimeter was setup and K-9 and RPAS (drone) were deployed. The building was searched with negative results. Arrest Warrants

In the past 24 hours four individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. Two were held for court in the morning and two were released via Appearance Notice with future court dates.

 

Failure to Comply Undertaking

On February 12th at 8:16 p.m., police received two separate calls reporting a fight in the 200 block of Douglas Street. Officers attended and determined that a highly intoxicated 19-year-old female was the primary cause of the disturbance. The female was bound by conditions to abstain from alcohol. She was arrested and lodged in BPS detention cells and will be released on an Appearance Notice once sober.

 

Breach of the Peace

On February 12th at 9:42 p.m., police responded to a residence in the 400 block of 12th Street following a report of an unwanted individual. A 32-year-old intoxicated male was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the property after being asked to do so. Officers attended the scene and arrested the male, who was lodged in BPS detention cells to be released once sober.

 

Immediate Roadside Prohibition

On February 12th at 10:18 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of 15th Street after observing a vehicle travelling the wrong way on a one-way street.

The 48-year-old male driver failed an Approved Screening Device (ASD) test. As a result, the vehicle was towed and impounded for 30 days, and the driver’s license was suspended for 90 days. The driver was also issued a ticket for open liquor in a vehicle.

 

Failure to Comply Undertaking

On February 13th at 1:07 a.m., police conducted a curfew check on a 19-year-old female at a residence in the 1300 block of 8th Street and found that she was not home, contrary to her court-ordered conditions. At 1:51 a.m., the female contacted police to advise where she was staying and stated she no longer resided at the address required by her conditions. Officers attended and arrested her for breaching those conditions. She was lodged in BPS detention cells and will attend court in the morning.
