Police News Release - February 11th, 2026

Breach of the Peace / IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)

In the past 24 hours three individuals were arrested for Breach of the Peace and two for IPDA. In each incident the individual was brought to Brandon Police Service detention unit to be released once sober/calm and able to safely take care of themselves.

 

Arrest Warrants

In the past 24 hours four individuals were arrested on the strength of their Arrest Warrants. Two were released via Undertaking, one via Appearance Notice and one was held to attend court in the morning on February 11th, 2026. 

 

Traffic Stop Leads to Numerous Charges

On February 10th at 1:01 p.m. a traffic stop was conducted in a parking lot in the 3500 block of Victoria Avenue. The driver was a 27-year-old female and the passenger a 35-year-old male. 

The male was charged with Failure to Comply Release Order x3 (Do not attend Brandon, Do not possess weapons, Do not possess knives), Possession of Dangerous Weapon x2, and Public Mischief (false name given).

The female was charged With Failure to Comply Release Order x3 (Do not possess or carry any weapon, Must not operate motor vehicle, Must not occupy the drivers seat of a motor vehicle), Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Dangerous Weapon x2, and Resist/Obstruct Peace Officer, Public Mischief (false name given) and Drive without holding a valid driver’s license.

Both individuals were arrested and lodged at the Brandon Police Service detention unit. They are scheduled to appear in court on the morning of February 11, 2026.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
