Police News Release - December 3rd, 2025

Arrest Warrants
In the past 24 hours, two individuals were arrested on the strength of their Warrants for Arrest. One individual was held in BPS detention cells to appear in court in the morning, while the other was released with an Appearance Notice and a scheduled court date of January 5, 2026.
Theft Under $5000
On December 1st, 2025, a female suspect stole merchandise valued at more than $130 from a business located in the 600 block of 18th Street. The 29-year-old female was identified through video surveillance. On the evening of December 2nd, 2025, officers located the suspect at her residence, where she was arrested without incident. She was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on February 16, 2026.
IPDA (Intoxicated Persons Detention Act)
On December 3rd at approximately 3 a.m. police were called to a disturbance of a person screaming outside a residence in the 100 block of 2nd Street. Police attended and located the highly intoxicated 63-year-old male who was unable to care for himself. He was brought to BPS detention cells to be released once sober.
Assault
On December 2nd at 9:34 a.m., police were flagged down in the 1200 block of Rosser Avenue by a 36-year-old male who reported he had been assaulted. The victim was observed to be bleeding from his nose. The accused, a 33-year-old male, was located a short distance away and subsequently arrested. He was charged and later released on an Undertaking with a court date of February 12, 2026.
Failure to Comply Undertaking
On December 2nd at 4:25 p.m., police were called to a building in the 700 block of Princess Avenue, where a 19-year-old female was blocking the entrance and preventing staff from leaving. She was known to the address and was in breach of conditions prohibiting her from attending the address. The female was arrested and held in BPS detention cells to prevent the continuation of the offence and to be later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of January 27, 2026.
