Police News Release - December 27th, 2025

Breach of Court Order and Warrant.

On Friday December 26th in the early morning hours police were called to a disturbance in the 700 Block of 13th St.  An adult brother and sister were intoxicated and fighting others inside the residence and the homeowner wanted them all removed.  The 27-year-old male was found to be Wanted for failing to attend court on multiple criminal code offences and was also bound by a court order not to attend the residence or be in communication with the residents. He was arrested and held in custody for court. 

His sister, a 36-year-old female, was arrested for Breach of Peace and kept in custody until sober and cooperative.

 

Impaired Driver

Shortly after 7pm on December 26th, a 3-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of 18th Street and Victoria Ave. One of the drivers showed signs of alcohol consumption and was tested on an Approved Screening Device, which he failed.  The 19-year-old male was arrested, processed with breath samples over the legal limit.  He will appear in court in January.

 

Outstanding Warrant 

At 0451 hours police conducted a pedestrian check in the 1400 block of 6th, with a subject wearing mask.  Once identify was confirmed, the 29-year-old male was found to be wanted for Breaching his Release Order.  He was arrested and brought to BPS holding cells until his court appearance.

 

Breach of Peace 

At 1923 hours, police responded to a fight at a residence on Westaway Bay and located an intoxicated 18-year-old female who was causing the problems.  She was arrested and brought to BPS holding cells until sober.

At 2355 hours, police responded to a hotel on Highland Ave for a report of 4 males fighting in the lobby.   One of the subjects, a 26-year-old male, was identified as the main combatant, was arrested and brought to BPS holding cells until sober.

At 0355 on December 27th, officers responded to a residence on 8th Street North for an intoxicated female causing problems inside a residence. The 22-year-old female was arrested and brought to BPS holding cells until sober.
