Police News Release - December 13th, 2025

Immediate Roadside Prohibition
Over the past 24hrs, police were kept busing with motor vehicle accidents. Most were determined to be minor with two exceptions.
At 4:51PM, police came upon a collision at Victoria Avenue and 18th Street. A north bound vehicle failed to yield to traffic, colliding into a second vehicle. The driver displayed signs consistent with alcohol intoxication. She provided two breath samples at the scene, failing both times. The 39y/o woman had her driver's license seized for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for 30 days. There were no injuries and both vehicles had to be towed.
At 6:27PM, police were called to 18th Street and Park Avenue for another motor vehicle collision. Witnesses stated that a vehicle slid through a red traffic light colliding with a second vehicle. The driver provided two breath samples at the scene, failing both times. A 67y/o man had his driver's license seized for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 30 days. There were no injuries.
Failing to comply with court orders
Overnight, two people were located and arrested for failing to comply with court ordered conditions.
At 7:30PM, a 32y/o woman was causing a disturbance near 1st Street and Victoria Avenue. She was taken into custody and found to be concealing a small knife in her jacket, having which was contrary to her court order. She was intoxicated and held for court.
At 10:00PM, police received a complaint of a man banging at a door in the east end of the city. When police attended the area, A 41y/o man was located and found to be in the company of a person whom he was prohibited from being with. He was sober and released for court later in the evening.
Intoxicated people
During the past 24 hours, 2 people were arrested and held due to varying levels of intoxication. All were later released when sober.
