Police News Release - August 18th, 2025

 Breach of the Peace

On August 17th at approximately 12:20PM, police responded to a disturbance at a motel in the 1800 block of 1st Street North involving two highly intoxicated females, aged 25 and 23. Both individuals were taken into custody and held in BPS detention cells. They will be released once they are sober.

 

Breach of the Peace

On August 17th at approximately 11:14 PM, police were dispatched to the 500 block of Rosser Avenue following a report of an individual attempting to pry open a door. A description of the suspect was provided, and officers attended the area. A 35-year-old female matching the description was located, arrested, and held in BPS detention cells. The incident remains under investigation, with video surveillance to be reviewed for a possible break and enter. The female will be released once sober.

 

Arrest Warrant

On August 18th at 12:16AM a walk-through of a bar resulted in locating a 40-year-old male who had an Unendorsed Warrant for Arrest (Failure to Attend Court). The male was taken into custody, held in BPS detention cells and is scheduled to attend court in the morning.

 

Breach of Undertaking

On August 18th at approximately 1:22 AM, while conducting patrols in the 1400 block of Stickney Avenue, officers observed a 35-year-old female in the company of a specific male, which was in violation of the conditions of her court order. She was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice with a scheduled court date of October 27th, 2025. 

The 43-year-old male was also on conditions not to be in contact with the female. He too was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a court date of November 3rd, 2025.
