For The Past 24 Hours:

Break & Enter:

Early Saturday morning, a complaint of a break, enter, and commit mischief was received concerning a property in the 500 block Louise Avenue. A suspect was identified by the complainant. While members were in the area for the complaint, the 33 year-old male suspect was located and arrested. He was processed and later released from custody on appropriate police-imposed conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 15th.

Prohibited Driver:

Just after 9:00 PM Saturday evening, a vehicle stop was made in the 2600 block Rosser Avenue. A 34 year-old male was the operator and a records query returned that he was prohibited from driving Canada-wide. He was arrested, processed, and released to appear in Brandon provincial court on June 15th.

Assault and Warrant for Arrest:

A 32 year-old male was arrested and held in custody to appear before the court today after a complaint was received from his female partner that he had repeatedly assaulted her prior. At around 11:00 PM Saturday night, the accused was located near the caller’s residence. He is facing charges of assault, assault by choking, and two counts of failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. The breach charges relate to him being in contact with the caller, as he is facing an assault charge from a previous incident. A records query also returned that a warrant for his arrest had been issued for failing to attend court on the initial assault charge.

Impaired Driver:

A 33 year-old male from Winnipeg was arrested after the vehicle he was operating collided with a fire hydrant in the 500 block Louise Avenue, completely shearing it off, at around 11:30 PM Saturday night. The accused has been charged with impaired operation, and is scheduled to appear in Brandon provincial court on April 9th to answer to the charge. His vehicle was seized and impounded.

Failing to Comply:

Just before 2:00 AM Sunday morning, a 25 year-old female was arrested at a residence in the 300 block 10th Street, after Police were called for an unrelated matter. The female was located within the residence and a records query returned that she is bound by a Release Order with a curfew of 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, and to be at a different residence. Due to her level of intoxication, she was held in custody and later released with a court date of June 15th.

A 42 year-old male was arrested during a vehicle stop in the 3600 block Richmond Avenue at around 4:30 AM this morning. A records query of the suspect returned that is bound by a Release Order that includes a 24 hour curfew and a condition that he reside at a residence in Red Deer, Alberta: he is residing in Manitoba currently. He is held in custody pending an appearance before the court later today.

Others:

Two males, one 67 years of age and the other 29 years, each from a separate incident, were held in custody overnight under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act as they were found in a state of intoxication that precluded them being able to care for themselves. Both were released without charges after they sobered up.
