Police News Release - April 3rd, 2026

Immediate Roadside Prohibition
Over the past 24 hours, police identified three drivers operating vehicles while impaired by alcohol. Each driver received an immediate suspension of their driver’s license, and their vehicles were seized and towed.
Intimate Partner Violence
At approximately 5:30 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault in the 1300 block of 7th Street. Investigation revealed that an intoxicated 38-year-old male had assaulted his partner. Her injuries did not require medical treatment. The male was located, arrested, and lodged in custody to be released once sober, with a future court appearance.
Fail to Comply with Court Orders
At 8:45 p.m., police responded to a disturbance in the area of 26th Street and Pacific Avenue. A highly intoxicated 17‑year‑old male was located harassing residents. Investigation determined he was breaching court‑ordered conditions prohibiting alcohol consumption and possession of weapons. During his arrest, police located a small knife concealed on his person. As his mother was unable to assume custody, the youth was lodged until sober and released with a future court appearance.
Intoxicated Persons / Other Arrests
Within the past 24 hours, four youths were arrested for intoxication and released to guardians once sober. Police also arrested one individual on an outstanding warrant and charged a 44-year-old male for operating a motor vehicle while prohibited in Canada. Both were released with future court dates.
