Police News Release - April 2nd, 2026

Arrest Warrants

In the past 24hrs 2 men and 2 women were arrested on the strength of their warrants.  Two were held for court and two were released for future court dates.

Theft Under $5000

On April 1st, Patrol was dispatched to a report of a woman stealing from a business in the 2600 block of Victoria.  A woman was located, arrested for Theft Under $5000 and released for a future court date.

On April 1st, Patrol Section located a male who had previously committed theft and was pending a warrant application.  The male was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and released to appear in court on a future date.

On April 2nd, Patrol Section located a female who had been identified in a previous theft investigation.  She was arrested for Theft Under $5000 and released to appear in court on a future date.

Mischief Under $5000

On April 1st, Patrol Section responded to a disturbance at a residence in the 2000blk of McDonald Avenue.  An adult female was arrested for Mischief Under $5000 as she had damaged the homeowner’s property and personal belongings.  She was held in BPS cells and released to appear in court on a future date.

Weapons Charges

On April 2nd, Police attended responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 900blk of 1st street.  Upon arrival, police learned that the suspect had left the residence.  The male suspect was located nearby. He was in possession of a machete and police were able to take him into custody without incident.  The male was arrested for Carrying a Concealed Weapon.  The male was held in cells until he was sober.  He was released to appear in court on a future date.   This investigation is ongoing.
