Protective Detention + Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
On April 10th at 8:00 a.m. a complaint was received from a resident in the 700 block of Braecrest Drive regarding a male acting out aggressively. The male was located and found to be intoxicated by alcohol & drugs. The 19-year-old was brought to BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.
Theft Under $5000
On April 10th police located a 36-year-old female who was identified through video surveillance, to be responsible for 20 thefts or merchandise from a business in the 2600 block of Victoria Ave. These thefts occurred between December 2025 and April 1st, 2026, with an estimated value of $800.00. The female was arrested for Theft Under $5,000 and transported to BPS to be processed. She was released on an Undertaking to appear in court on June 26th, 2026.
Stolen Vehicle, Weapon & Drug charges
On April 10th at 12:20 pm officers conducted a traffic stop with a reported stolen vehicle. Two males and one female were found inside the vehicle, and they were arrested for Possession of property obtained by crime. During the search of the stolen vehicle, police located a large fixed blade knife, an extendable baton, and a bag where one of the males was seated with over 10 grams of Meth. All three subjects were held in BPS detention cells for Court the next morning.
Arrest Warrant
On April 10th at 4:17 p.m. police attended a residence on McDonald Avenue to check for a 62-year-old male regarding his outstanding endorsed Warrant for Arrest (Criminal Harassment). He was located, arrested and later released via an Undertaking with a future court date of June 11th, 2026.

On April 10th, BPS were contacted by RCMP from Portage Laprairie who advised that had arrested a 30-year-old female on the strength of a BPS outstanding warrant for Assault and Choking. The female processed by the RCMP and held for court the next morning.

On April 10th at 7:43 p.m. police located a male in the 900 block of Rosser Ave who was known to have an outstanding BPS warrant for arrest for breaching his probation order. The 37-year-old male was arrested, processed and later released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of May 11th, 2026.
Failure to Comply Undertaking
On April 11th at 2:54 a.m. police responded to a report of people fighting inside a hotel on Currie Blvd. Officers attended and although the fight was over, a male was identified and found to be wanted by the RCMP for failing to comply with his court order.The 18-year-old male was held in BPS detention cells until sober and cooperative, when he will be released on an Undertaking for court on May 13th, 2026.
Arrest Warrant
On April 11th at 2:55 a.m. police located a male in the 200 block of 9th St, who was known to have an outstanding BPS warrant for arrest for failing to attend court. The 41-year-old male was arrested and brought to BPS detention cells to be held for court in the morning.

On April 11th at 3:00 a.m. police were called to a residence in the 800 block of 5th St, for an 18-year-old female causing a disturbance. She was brought to BPS detention cells and will be released once sober.
