Police News Release - April 10th, 2026

Failure to Comply Undertaking
On April 9th at 8:31 a.m. a male attended the grounds of a business in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue however he is currently bound by an Undertaking not to attend. He was located by police intoxicated and held in Brandon Police Service (BPS) detention cells to prevent the continuation of behaviour. He will be released once sober via Appearance Notice with a future court date of June 15th, 2026.
Arrest Warrant
On April 9th at 2:42 p.m. police were called to the 500 block of 22nd Street for an unrelated matter when they encountered a 30-year-old female who had a Winnipeg Police Endorsed Warrant for Arrest (Fraud Under $5000). The female was arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of June 17th, 2026.
Arrest Warrant
On April 9th at 3:10 p.m. police attended a residence on Assiniboine Avenue to check for a 55-year-old male regarding his outstanding endorsed Warrant for Arrest (Operate Impaired). He was located, arrested and later released via Appearance Notice with a future court date of May 7th, 2026.
Protective Detention + Care of Intoxicated Persons Act
On April 9th at 3:00 p.m. a business in the 100 block of 11th Street phoned for assistance due to an intoxicated male causing a disturbance at their front doors. The male was located and brought to BPS detention cells. He will be released once sober.
Theft Under $5000
On April 9th at approximately 8:21 p.m., police were dispatched to a business located in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue to assist with the removal of a male who was found sleeping on a hallway stairwell and refused to leave the premises. Upon attendance, officers identified the individual and it was disclosed that the 33-year-old male had previously stolen a key to a suite from a separate business in the 000 block of 10th Street on March 30th, 2026. The male was subsequently arrested for Theft Under $5,000 and transported to BPS detention cells. He will be released once sober on an Undertaking, with a scheduled court date of June 4th, 2026.
