Breach of Peace
On Sunday, September 8th at 8:04AM a disturbance was reported in the 800 block of 7th Street. Upon arrival police arrested a 38-year-old male who was the cause of the issues. He was held in custody to prevent further issue and will be released once sober.
Theft Under $5000 / Failure to Attend Court X2
On Sunday, September 8th at 4:55PM a store in the 900 block of Victoria Avenue called to report two panhandlers who wouldn’t leave the property. Police attended and found one of the panhandlers to be wanted on an unendorsed warrant. The 34-year-old woman was arrested, held in custody, and will attend court in the morning on September 9th, 2024.
Break & Enter / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime / Breach of Release Order / Fraud with Credit Card / Possession of Break in Instruments
On Sunday, September 8th at 5:16PM police were notified that a credit card had been stolen and it was being used to order pizza to a house on the east end of Brandon. Investigation led to the 100 block of Victoria Avenue East. A 33-year-old male was located at the residence alongside stolen property belonging to the owner of the credit card. The 33-year-old male was wanted on previous charges as well and was arrested, held in custody, and will attend court in the morning on September 9th, 2024.
Failure to Comply with Release Order X3 / Obstruction of Justice
On Sunday, September 8th Brandon Police received a request from RCMP to execute a warrant on a 25-year-old inmate. Warrant executed and the male will attend court in the morning on September 9th, 2024.
Mischief to Property Under $5000
On the afternoon of September 6th, a 40-year-old male was in custody at Brandon Police Service Detention Unit. He was given an iPhone to facilitate a call to Counsel. Upon commencing call with legal aid, the male proceeded to slam the device into the ground, breaking both the phone and the case with damages over $600.
On the evening of September 8th police attended Brandon Correctional Centre (BCC) and arrested the male. He will appear in court on Monday, September 9th.
Theft Under $5000 X2
On September 9th police attended BCC and arrested a 26-year-old male identified as responsible for stealing Bluetooth speakers from a business on August 20th and August 21st. Total value of approximately $430. He will appear in court on Monday, September 9th.
Failure to Attend Court
On September 9th at 2:00AM a pedestrian stop in the 300 block of 10th Street revealed an endorsed warrant of arrest for Failure to Attend Court. The female was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of October 21st, 2024.
