Police Media Release - September 3, 2024

Warrant Executed

On September 2nd at 11:35AM police conducted a person’s check in the 900 block of Rosser Avenue. The check revealed an endorsed Warrant of Arrest for Failure to Comply with Probation X2. The 30-year-old male was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of October 1st, 2024.

 

Failure to Comply – Undertaking

On September 2nd police were notified of a breach of curfew on a 16-year-old female’s Undertaking. She was located in the 1500 block of 26th Street and arrested.  She was later released to her mother on an Appearance Notice with a court date of November 19th, 2024.

 

Failure to Comply – Probation

In relation to the above incident in the 1500 block of 26th street, an 18-year-old male was found to have an endorsed Warrant of Arrest for Failure to Comply with Probation. He was released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of October 1st, 2024.

 

Breach of Peace

On September 2nd at 4:53PM police were called to a disturbance at a hotel on Middleton Avenue. Three people were fighting with one 44-year-old male being the primary cause of issues. He was arrested and lodged until sober.

 

Break & Enter / Theft Over $5000

On March 30th it was reported a church was broke into with over $10,000 in music/sound equipment was stolen.  DNA evidence linked a 34-year-old male to the crime. The male was arrested September 2nd at 10:55PM in the 1000 block of Lorne Avenue on these charges. He was lodged and will attend court in the morning on September 3rd, 2024.

 

Failure to Attend Court X2 / Failure to Comply with Release Order X2

On September 2nd at 10:44PM police were called to a residence to remove a 38-year-old female causing a disturbance. The female was wanted on both Brandon and Winnipeg Police warrants. She was lodged for the night and will attend court in the morning on September 3rd, 2024.

 

Breach of Peace

On September 3rd at 4:30AM police were called to a disturbance at a hotel on Middleton Avenue. An intoxicated 54-year-old male was causing a disturbance and trying to fight security. He was arrested for Breach of Peace and was lodged for the night. He will be released once sober.

 

Witness Warrant

On September 3rd at 6:20AM a 42-year-old female turned herself in to BPS on an unendorsed Witness Warrant issued August 30th, 2024. She was lodged and held for court.
