Police Media Release - September 15, 2024

Warrant

On the morning of 2024-09-14, police attended to a residence in the 1200 block of 10th Street.  A check of police records for a 17-year-old male revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The accused has been released to a guardian with conditions to appear in court 2024-11-26.

 

Warrant/Carry Concealed Weapon

On the morning of 2024-09-14, police conducted a pedestrian stop in the 800 block of Pacific Avenue with a 46-year-old male.  A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest.  A search incident to arrest resulted in locating a knife concealed on the male’s person, which he also bound by a court order to not possess weapons. The accused was lodged at BPS for court on 2024-09-15.

 

Breach of Peace

On the afternoon of 2024-09-14, a highly intoxicated 17 year-old-female youth attended to BPS in a taxi.  The youth will be released to the care of a child protection agency once sober.

 

Warrant

On the evening of 2024-09-14, police conducted a pedestrian stop with a 20-year-old female in the 1800 block of Louise Avenue.  A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The accused was lodged at BPS for court on 2024-09-15.

 

Breach of Peace

On the evening of 2024-09-14, police attended to a report of a disturbance between a male and female on Cornell Bay.  The male was determined to be the source of the problem and was lodged till sober to prevent further public disruptions.

 

Failure to Comply with Release Order

On the evening of 2024-09-14, police conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 1200 block of 9th Street.  A check of police records for a 31-year-old female occupant revealed that she was violatingf her court ordered curfew.  The accused was lodged at BPS for court on 2024-09-15.

 

Warrant

On 2024-09-15, police conducted a pedestrian stop with an intoxicated 16-year-old female youth in the 500 block of Louise Avenue.  A check of police records revealed an outstanding warrant of arrest.  The accused was lodged at BPS and will be released to a guardian once sober with a consume liquor as minor ticket, as well as conditions to appear in court 2024-11-26 for her warrant.

 

Assault

On 2024-09-15, police responded to a report of an assault outside of a hotel in the 200 block of 18th St N.  Investigation revealed that a 36-year-old male assaulted his 27-year-old female spouse.  No medical attention was required by the victim.  A check of police records revealed the male to also be in violation of his court ordered curfew.  The accused was lodged at BPS for court on 2024-09-15.
