Police Media Release - September 11, 2024
Possession of Dangerous Weapon / Failure to Comply with Undertaking / Failure to Comply with Release Order X3 and Two Tickets
On September 10th at 1:08PM police conducted a traffic stop on a taxi in the 800 block of 10th Street. The two passengers, males aged 19 and 22, were not wearing their seatbelts and had open liquor in the vehicle. A search resulted in finding a large knife. Both males were arrested for Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and issued tickets for the seatbelt and open liquor offences. The 19-year-old was also on a Release Order not to possess weapons and had a reside clause that he was breaching. The 19-year-old was held in detention cells for court in the morning on September 11th, 2024. The 22-year-old to be released once sober with a court date of October 31st, 2024.
Warrant Executed
On September 10th police located a 38-year-old male outside of City Hall. He was arrested due to two endorsed warrants for Failure to Attend Court and Ident. Released on an Appearance Notice with a court date set for October 17th, 2024.
Failure to Attend Court
On September 10th at 6:43PM a request came in to remove a woman from a residence in the 1300 block of 1st street. The 45-year-old female was wanted on an outstanding warrant. She was arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning on September 11th, 2024.
Failure to Attend Court / Resisting & Assaulting a Peace Officer
On September 10th at 7:39PM a fight complaint came in for a residence on Aster Crescent. The fight was finished upon police arrival however two males were on location who were wanted on outstanding warrants – aged 29 and 22.
The 29-year-old male was arrested and later released on an Appearance Notice with a court date of October 10th, 2024. His charges are Assault and Failure to Attend Court.
The 22-year-old male was arrested and held in detention cells for court in the morning on September 11th, 2024. His charges are Failure to Attend Court X3, Resisting a Peace Officer and Assaulting a Peace Officer.
