Warrants Executed Along with New Charges
On October 3rd police officers attended to a home on Hawthorne Crescent to conduct warrant checks for two males, 40 and 27. Homeowner stated they weren’t home and provided consent to check the house. The 27-year-old was found hiding in a closet and upon checking the laundry room the 40-year-old came out swinging a purse at a police officer and further resisted arrest. The two were apprehended. A search upon arrest revealed two baggies of Methamphetamine in the pant pocket of the 40-year-old. He continued to resist when cuffed and upon being placed in cruiser, attempted to kick an officer in the face.
Both males were held in detention cells at Brandon Police Service and will attend court in the morning on October 4th, 2024.
27-year-old male’s previous charges: Theft, forgery, misuse of credit card / Failure to Comply with Release Order Condition / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Less Than or Equal to $5000
40-year-old male’s previous charges: Theft, forgery, misuse of credit card / Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Less Than or Equal to $5000
40-year-old male’s new charges: Possession of Methamphetamine / Resist Police Officer / Assault Police Officer
Breach of Peace
On October 3rd police were called to a disturbance at a business in the 3500 block of Victoria Avenue. The male had been asked by staff and police to leave, and he would not. He was brought to BPS detention cells to prevent further issues and will be released once sober.
Failure to Comply – Undertaking
On October 3rd police initiated a curfew check in the 300 block of Dennis Street. The 18-year-old female was not home and in breach of the Undertaking. She later returned home whereby she was arrested, held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on October 4th, 2024.
Warrant Executed
On October 3rd police conducted a pedestrian check in the 800 block of Rosser Avenue. It was revealed the 26-year-old male had an outstanding endorsed Failure to Comply Probation warrant. He was released on an Appearance Notice and will attend court on November 4th, 2024.
Mischief to Property
On October 3rd witnesses reported seeing a female kicking and breaking windows in the 700 block of Rosser Avenue. A description was given, and police located the suspect nearby. The 28-year-old female was arrested and later released on an Undertaking with a court date of October 31st, 2024.
Warrant Executed
On October 3rd police located a 35-year-old male who was wanted on an outstanding Warrant of Arrest for Failure to Attend Court X3. He was arrested and held in detention cells and will attend court in the morning on October 4th, 2024.
