Police Media Release - October 30, 2024

Arrest Warrant Executed– Failure to Appear in Court, Uttering Threats

On October 29th, 2024 at 10:55AM Police attended a house on Garwood Drive for a report of disturbance. One of the involved, the 32-year-old male had an unendorsed Warrant of Arrest. He was arrested, brought to BPS detention cells and held overnight for court in the morning on October 30th, 2024.

 

Failure to Comply with Probation Order, Resist Arrest

On October 29th, 2024, at 2:08 PM, police responded to a report from a complainant regarding a male suspect sending numerous text messages in violation of a non-communication condition of his Probation Order. The messages included threats, and the suspect was believed to be in the area of the 1500 block of Stickney Avenue. Upon searching the area, police located the 45-year-old male suspect, who attempted to flee and resisted arrest during the pursuit. He was apprehended and taken to BPS detention cells, where he was held overnight for a court appearance scheduled for October 30th, 2024.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed– Failure to Appear in Court, Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Failure to Comply with Probation Order, Possession of Control Substance

On October 29th, 2024, at 4:15 PM, police conducted a pedestrian check in the 100 block of Princess Avenue E. During the check, it was revealed that a 38-year-old male was the subject of an endorsed Arrest Warrant. A search incident to his arrest revealed that he was in possession of a prohibited weapon, which violated the conditions of his Probation Order. Additionally, he was found to have a controlled substance in his possession. He was arrested and taken to BPS detention cells, where he was held overnight for a court appearance scheduled for the morning of October 30th, 2024.

 

Intoxicated Persons Detention Act

 On October 29th, 2024, at 6:10 PM, police responded to a report of a 28-year-old female who appeared to be intoxicated and was checking vehicles in the 600 block of 14th Street. Upon arrival, police located her passed out inside a vehicle and in a highly intoxicated state. She was arrested and taken to BPS detention cells to prevent any further issues until she sobered up.

 

Intoxicated Persons Detention Act

 On October 29th, 2024, at 6:10 PM, police responded to a report of a 34-year-old male who was fighting with a tree in the area of Southern Ave East and Dennis Street. Upon arrival, police found him in a highly intoxicated state with injured hands. He was arrested, medically cleared, and then held in BPS detention cells to prevent further issues until he sobered up.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed – Failure to Comply with Undertaking, Mischief to Property under $5000

On October 29th, 2024, at 9:50 PM, police conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Rosser Avenue. During the stop, it was revealed that a 36-year-old male occupant had an outstanding unendorsed Arrest Warrant. He was arrested and taken to BPS detention cells, where he was held overnight for a court appearance scheduled for the morning of October 30th, 2024.

 

Intoxicated Persons Detention Act

On October 29th, 2024, at 10:15 PM, police responded to a report of a disturbance caused by a female near a residence in the 300 block of 11th Street. Police located a 43-year-old female who was found to be in a highly intoxicated state. She was arrested and taken to BPS detention cells to prevent any further issues until she sobered up.

 

Theft under $5000

On October 29th, 2024, at 9:10 PM, police received a complaint about a female who had stolen $110 worth of merchandise from a local business. Police were able to identify the suspect and located the 37-year-old female at her residence. She was arrested and later released with an undertaking, with a scheduled court appearance on December 23rd, 2024.

 

Failure to Comply with Release Order

On October 29th, 2024, at 11:20 PM, police responded to multiple reports of a male laying on the road at the intersection of 18th Street and Rosser Avenue. Upon arrival, police located a 39-year-old male in a highly intoxicated state. It was revealed that he was bound by a Release Order with conditions prohibiting alcohol consumption and requiring him to observe a daily curfew. He was arrested and taken to BPS detention cells, where he was held to appear in court the following morning, October 30th, 2024.

On October 29th, 2024, at 11:10 PM, police responded to a report of a highly intoxicated male at BRHC. Police located a 28-year-old male who was in a severely intoxicated state and had no place to go. He was medically cleared and then held in BPS detention cells to prevent any further issues until he sobered up.

 

Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purposes, Carry Concealed Weapon, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Proceeds of Crime

On October 30th, 2024, at 12:15AM Police conducted a vehicle stop in the 300 block of 6th street. Male driver was not wearing seatbelt. He was observed to carry a knife in the waistband of his pants and was placed under arrest. During a search, incidental to arrest he was found to be in possession of Control Substance divided into 4 separate packages.  29-year-old male was released with Undertaking to appear in Court on December 12th, 2024.

 

Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Motor Vehicle, Impaired Driving

On October 30th, 2024, at 1:55 AM, police conducted a vehicle stop in the 1300 block of Richmond Avenue. The male driver showed signs of drug intoxication and was placed under arrest. During the search of the vehicle, police located two rifles, assorted ammunition, a loaded magazine, a bow, and a variety of knives. The 44-year-old male was transported to BPS and held in detention cells, to be released with an undertaking when sober. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 4th, 2024.

 

Arrest Warrant Executed – Failure to Appear in Court, Assault

On October 30th, 2024, at 3:20AM, 29-year-old male attended BPS to deal with an outstanding endorsed Arrest Warrant. He was arrested on the strength of his endorsed Arrest Warrant and released on Undertaking to appear in Court on January 9th, 2025.
