Motor Vehicle Accident with Injuries

On October 28, 2024, at 12:55 PM, police responded to a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Van Horne and 21st Street. Investigators determined that one driver failed to yield while traveling southbound on 21st Street, striking another vehicle on the rear passenger door as it was traveling westbound on Van Horne Avenue. The impact also affected a third vehicle entering the intersection. A passenger in one of the involved vehicles sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Winnipeg. The other parties involved were taken to BRHC with minor injuries.

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000

On October 28, 2024, at 10:09 AM, police received a report regarding a stolen item that was being advertised on Facebook Marketplace. Following an investigation, officers contacted a suspect who posted the item and arranged a meeting. A 39-year-old male attended the meeting and was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. He was charged and later released on an Appearance Notice, with a court date set for January 6, 2025.

Breach of Peace

On October 28, 2024, at 3:30 PM, police were called to a business in the 000 block of 9th Street regarding a highly intoxicated male who was attempting to fight with patrons. Officers arrived and arrested the 46-year-old male. He was subsequently lodged at the BPS detention unit until he was sober.

Arrest Warrant Executed– Armed Robbery

On October 28th, 2024, at 10:00PM Police conducted a vehicle stop at 100 Block Rosser Avenue. 20-year-old male occupant was identified as a subject of an outstanding unendorsed Arrest Warrant. He was arrested and lodged at BPS detention unit to appear in court in the morning on October 29th, 2024.

Arrest Warrant Executed– Fail to Attend Court

On October 28, 2024, at 2:30 AM, police located a 41-year-old male at a business on the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue. He was identified as a subject of an outstanding endorsed arrest warrant. He was arrested and later released to appear in court on November 28, 2024.
